The Rev'd. Canon Norman D. Lightbourne, Rector
About Our Church
The Pro-Cathedral of Christ the King, Freeport’s First Church, was established in 1962 in the heart of the city of Freeport on Grand Bahama Island. The landmark with its impressive edifice, built by the hands of some of its founding church members, plays a significant role in the history of the island.

Our Rector is The Rev’d. Canon Norman Lightbourne and he is assisted by The Rev’d. Fr. Colin Saunders, Assistant Curate, and The Rev’d. Canon Curtis Robinson, Assistant Priest.

The church is very active, holding multiple Sunday morning worship services using the traditional Anglican Liturgy, while from time to time including dynamic spirit-filled addresses from members of the congregation. It also offers a variety of ministries including the Vestry, Anglican Church Women, Anglican Church Men, Youth Council, Guild of St. Ambrose, iWorship Media Ministry, Crossover, Choir, Small Groups, Ministry, Prayer Group, St. Luke’s Ministry, Altar Guild, Social Outreach, Coffee Hour, and Usher Board.

Regular services and ministry meetings are held throughout the week.
